Performances for actors in Grades 7 & 8

NEW THIS SPRING – an in-person production process culminating in a live, outdoor performance with a real audience. A COVID safety protocol will be in place, including masks (for actors and audience), social distancing, and limited cast and audience size.

Registration opens 3/31!

The Rafters Directing Team is working hard to find the ideal show for our first in-person production in over a year. Due to some restrictions and limitations on in-person work, this production may look a little different than our standard mainstage musical productions. Rest assured, we are committed to providing an exciting and rewarding rehearsal process and live performance experience.

Tuesday & Friday afternoons for 6 weeks: May 4 – June 11, 2021
+ Thursday June 10.

Meets 3.00pm – 5.30pm (Weeks 1-4)
3.00pm – 6.00pm (Weeks 5 & 6)

This production meets IN-PERSON at our Church Of Our Saviour Rehearsal Venue (25 Monmouth Street, Brookline).

Outdoor Performances:
Friday, June 11, time TBD
Saturday, June 12, time TBD
Rain Date: Sunday, June 13

NOTE – due to limited spots, our in-person Rafters production is for returning actors only. All registrants must have participated in at least one Rafters Company or Barncats Ensemble production in the past two seasons. All actors must be able to commit to the full rehearsal schedule in order to participate.

Rehearsals will be held outdoors as frequently as possible.
Our indoor space is a large room with a vaulted ceiling, numerous windows and air filtration systems that meet or exceed the Brookline Public Schools’ indoor ventilation benchmark for their Hybrid Learning Plan. Our cast size is limited to allow appropriate social distancing, and all students and staff are required to wear a face mask for the duration of class. Additionally, all participants must complete an online wellness check before coming to each rehearsal.

At Artbarn, the health and safety of our actors and staff is our highest priority. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns about our space or our safety measures.

Note – due to the ever changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, this program may be moved to online instruction at any time.
