SPRING PROGRAMMING 2021
Spring classes will be held OUTDOORS when weather permits. Our indoor space is a large, well-ventilated room with air filtration systems that meet or exceed the Brookline Public Schools’ indoor ventilation benchmark for their Hybrid Learning Plan. Our class size is limited to allow appropriate social distancing, and all students and staff are required to wear a face mask for the duration of class. Additionally, all participants must complete an online wellness check before coming to class each week.
At Artbarn, the health and safety of our actors and staff is our highest priority. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns about our space or our safety measures.
SUMMER AT THE BARN 2021
This summer we are exicted to offer a fully in-person program. To do this, we will be limiting enrollment numbers, reducing our staff size, maximizing use of outdoor space, wearing masks and socially distancing. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions about our plans or the structure of this summer’s program.
Protocol for a safe SUMMER AT THE BARN:
All participants will complete a daily online Wellness Check before arriving each morning.
All staff will be required to show a negative COVID test before the start of the program.
All participants and staff will have a contactless temperature check upon arrival each day.
All participants and staff are required to wear a mask at all times. Mask breaks will be permitted using our outdoor spaces.
All singing will be done outdoors, distanced, with masks.
Check-in will be staggered and happen outside. Only participants and staff will be allowed to enter the building. (Sorry parents!)
All participants and staff will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer throughout the camp day.
All participants and staff must bring their own lunch and snack to camp. No food can be shared, and no food will be provided by Artbarn.
Bathroom breaks will be limited to two people at a time and will be chaperoned by a staff member.
Any student or staff member showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be isolated while arrangements are made for them to leave camp.
We will be using outdoor spaces as much as possible, and keeping all windows (including several large bay doors) to our indoor spaces open as weather permits.
Our indoor spaces are equipped with air filtration systems that meet or exceed the Brookline Public Schools’ indoor ventilation benchmark for their Hybrid Learning Plan.
We have limited registration numbers to allow appropriate social distancing, and restructured our program to minimize interaction between participant groups.
PLEASE NOTE – this is our preliminary protocol and is subject to change. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation to ensure that we are adhering to the guidelines put in place by the State of Massachusetts and the Town of Brookline, and that we are following the best wisdom available to us.
