Our society is an increasingly disposable one. We are all constantly told to “reduce, reuse, and recycle,” yet how much have our habits truly changed? Most of us agree on what needs to be done, but it be challenging to act on it. How far are we willing to go to be green?

With a comedic script full of catchy tunes and flashy dance numbers, this year’s Out of the Box production – Gettin' Down in the Dump: Trials & Triumphs in Trash - looks beyond the trash can to explore the implications of our relationship with stuff, from purchase to use to disposal. In a world where it’s so easy to just “throw it away,” how can we address our attitude of convenience over consciousness?
